Noranda Church of Christ are involved in the following ongoing missions

- Sponsor children (Compassion Australia, see presentation or download it - you can right click either and "save as")

- Kingdom Assignment (website link - or see our Project pages)

We run our Mission focus on a term by term basis, involving the children in making small coin boxes (assembling and colouring them in) for disctribution. At the end of each term we collect them up and send off the mondey collected.  During the term we have events and highlights to ensure we maintain our support for those that are out in the world promoting Jesus, His love, forgiveness and Saving Grace.

This Term we are collecting money for clean and flowing water in Thailand and Cambodia. By using this money to establish water wells and purification plants (where needed), we give the gift of life to those that need it.

In 2009 we are collecting money to donate bibles for Acacia Prison ministries. Personal presence and relationships play such a huge role in trying to stop the cycle of prison (and all associated social, moral and financial problems), not just for the individual but also for the families.

Each bible costs $18, so spare desert next time you're out and put the money to something for a soul in need (instead of "the lifetime on your hips" as they say). Your prayers are also sought to support and cover the ministries - ring or email Eion and talk about what you can pray for. Look at this inspired website for articles and opinions about what a little God given Love can do!

Recently we highlighted the work of Brenda, Raj & Zoe Chelvaraj

Previously involved with YWAM at the University of Nations campus, Raj will now also be working for another Christian organization, called Strategic Global Assistance - a ministry that focuses on national church leader development.  It is also a faith-based ministry, so they are still in need of trying to raise support.

Brenda was originally "sent out" from Moonee Ponds Baptist Church in Melbourne (was it 17 years ago? - thats how long she has been in India) to work with YWAM - where she still works.
